Blades Bounce Broncos.

Please pay no attention to the final paragraph of my last post, because I was at the game..... due to myself loosing my soccer I.D card I was not able to play soccer tonight. The game was much better I think.

The goalies were Steven Stanford and Morgan Clark.

There was one tussle in the 1st...It happened in the Blades corner of the ice, Mike Brown was chasing after the loose puck and he made contact with Josh Nicholls sending him off balance, Dalton Thrower then decided to drop the gloves with Brown and Mike Brown stood up for himself by landing more shots than Thrower and taking the Blades rookie to the ice. Decision Brown.

After a scoreless 1st period the always dangerous Cody Eakin for the Broncos knocked in a point shot. Making the score 1-0 Broncos. This was after a questionable call against the Blades. The goal was a powerplay marker.

In the 2nd period the Blades line of Boyer,Nicholls and Hamilton combined to even the score at 1-1. The Blades and Broncos where deadlocked at 1 after 2 periods of play.

Daraian Dzuirzynski is a machine for the Blades he may not light up the scoreboard every game but he sure provides energy for the Blades out there. He has also thrown his body into unsuspecting opposing players... This time @ the 17:36 mark of the 3rd I think it was Taylor Vause whom DD caught with his head down and made him pay..... Vause did skate off on his own power.

In the 3rd period this game became really tight defensively and each team had some chances. One could sort of tell that Randy McNaught would probably not let the game end without himself being involved in a fight. McNaught took on a 17 year old by the name of Andrew Sullivan, I will give Sullivan credit for standing up and taking on the Blades tough guy,and even though Sullivan did not win the fight he shows great courage to take on a guy like Randy McNaught.

The game was tied going into the final period, the rough stuff also continued with Teigan Zahn taking on Eric Doyle. This fight was a draw,Doyle somehow positioned himself so he could avoid Zahn's punches and BELIEVE ME......Teigan Zahn was attempting to throw punches.

The close game came to an end when Charles Inglis put a shot on net, followed his own rebound and put it home.....and in an Ovechkin like celebration he jumped into the glass.

Darian Duirzynski was awarded with the ICR hit of the game with that hit on Taylor Vause.

The Wright Construction Hardest Working Player for tonight's game was Josh Nicholls.

FINAL SCORE: 2-1 Blades.

The Blades out shot the Broncos 32-23.

Because this game was on Shaw TV,the attendance took a hit. 3,418 was the announced crowd
tonight.
The Broncos road woes continue, and the Blades just keep on winning...15 wins so far in the young season for the Blades.

Next up is a road game on Friday night in Regina against the Pats because the FSX Fire and Ice World Tour is here at the CUC that night.
On Saturday night is a date at the Credit Union Centre between former Blades: Garrett Zemlak,Tyler Yaworski,Brendan Wall,Dustin Cameron and the rest of the Prince Albert Raiders, when they tangle with the host Blades. Steven Stanford will be able to watch his former team for the first time and he will probably see game action.
One more note,The Blades are back in the CHL Top 10 this week, they are ranked @#7.
