Blades Silence Wheat Kings. Cougars Saturday......

Tonight the Blades went looking for win #17 on the season. Steven Stanford was given the start which means Adam Morrison will start tomorrow against the P.G Cougars. The Blades built a 3-0 lead in the first period.

The Wheat Kings scored 2 goals to make it a close affair. Derek Hulak then scored a goal to increase the lead and give him 30 points on the season.

The Blades did not receive a power play until the 3rd period and they made it count.
The Wheat Kings outshot the Blades in this game but they still came up on the loosing end. 4-3 was the score in favor of the visiting Blades.

Lorne Molleken's men continue to pad their lead in the east division..... 17-3-0-3 is the record now.

The Blades now will head home to entertain the Prince George Cougars on Saturday, who were soundly defeated by the Prince Albert Raiders 9-2.

I am looking forward to this game because the Blades keep on rolling and P.G is struggling.
