Tonight the impressive Saskatoon Blades will face the well traveled Brandon Wheat Kings(yes the Wheat Kings have played the U.S teams) and they posted a 3-2 record in the 5 game stretch.
This will be the 2nd meeting between these east division teams, the Wheat Kings defeated the Blades 3-0 in Brandon last time around & this game is also in Manitoba. The Blades will not host the Wheat Kings until December 9th.
Brayden Schenn (a leader in many stats) is the Wheat Kings leading scorer with 27 points in just 18 games. Followed up by Jay Fehr who has 26 points this season.
For the Blades captain Derek Hulak leads the team with 29 points in 22 games. Walker Wintoneak has 27 points in 20 games played this season.
Hopefully the Blades can draw even in the season series with a win. It will not be an easy task. The Wheat Kings are in a battle with the Moose Jaw Warriors for 2nd spot in the division.
